HOW MUCH DOES A TRIP TO KENYA COST

Cost of a trip to Kenya ranges between US$170 to 1450 per night per person.Kenya Safari cost for budget traveler is at an average of US$170 per night,Mid luxury traveler approximately US$400 per night, and for top luxury traveler from US$1450 per night

The cost of trip to Kenya includes the following:

  • Arrival and departure transfers in Nairobi
  • Full board on safari
  • All entrance fees for the National Parks and the Game Reserves on safari
  • Game viewing drives and driving about in a private custom built minivan
  • Services of a courteous, professional  and knowledgeable driver/guide
  • Bottled water during the time  in our vehicle on safari

Exclusions:

  • Kenya visas
  • International flights
  • Tipping

For cost of budget and semi luxury safaris in Kenya, most hotels in the kenya safari parks and wild animal reserves have their meals plan include accommodation and meals only. However for the luxury safaris, the hotels includes drinks too and a personal butler for each room.

However the prices may vary if a traveler decide to travel by air throughout the holiday duration, this is because flight transfers between destinations within Kenya is far much higher compared to road travel.

The difference between air travel and road transport is the time factor, for example if a traveler takes a flight to Masai Mara game reserve,it only takes 45 minutes to one hour from Nairobi Wilson airport. On the other hand if one goes by road from Nairobi it will take approximately 5.5 hours.

The price could also go up if a holiday maker decide to fly by privately chartered flight, as opposed to using Scheduled flight between destinations. However charted flights provides the comfort of convenience as the passenger has the advantage of deciding when to go and time to depart for a safari to any of the Kenyan tourist attractions.

A trip by road may also go up especially if you are a sole traveler and your choice is a private safari, that means you will bear the cost of transport alone while if it was shared the cost would be shared among you and the others that you could be traveling together with.

Transport is not the only aspect that controls the price. The choice of hotels will also determine the cost level of a trip to Kenya, if a traveler's choice is luxury safari, that takes the holiday planner to a  basket where luxury hotels are picked from. This means that the safari holiday package for such a traveler will cost more than the one who chose a budget trip

Seasons will also determine the cost of a trip, in Kenya we have 3 categories of seasons namely:

  • Peak season
  • High Season
  • Low season
  • Peak Season

This normally lies between mid-June to end of September, this is the period when cost a Kenyan holiday gets to its highest. That is mainly caused by a number of factors like the summer holidays in Europe and the great wildebeest migration in Masai Mara from North Serengeti in Tanzania.

High Season

It occurs between October and March, during relatively low compared to peak season

Low Season

This occurs between April and Mid-June.The rates are quite low compared to the other 2 seasons.

But all the above options are affordable since it will all depend on the traveler's budget for the trip

Kenya
The country’s altitude ranging from sea level to 5.199 metres makes its climate very greatly from high humid temperatures of the Coast (830F) to the often cold and wet regions in the country. With the Equator transversing the country, there are only two rain seasons- the long rains from October through to December. Sunshine is experienced thought the year although it becomes cooler during the months of June, July and August.
If you visit Kenya, you will discover a wonderful country with a magnificent tapestry of mountains, lakes, beaches and wildlife reserves which form the glorious physical background of our country.
Kenya is one of the favorite destinations for travelers all over the world. It is an all year round destination and has so much to offer. It is a country of natural beauty, warm, friendly people and a lot of charm.
Your holiday would be most enjoyable as you explore the natural jungle settings and then, there are the people who made Kenya what it is; a cosmopolitan cocktail or religion and culture that makes a visit such a rewarding and memorable experience. As so many have discovered your “Kenya experience” will leave a lasting impression and invite your return. The official languages are English and Swahili; however, we have safari guides speaking Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Swedish.
